2024 Mastership 

This is the year that all the hard work, dedication, and uninterrupted attendance will pay off as I undergo testing to become ATA's newest Master. This only served to be wishful thinking, because in December of 2023 it was made very clear that this date wasn't as important to the organization as it was to me, and a lot of details fell through the cracks keeping me further away from achieving my mastership with the organization that i have served faithfully for so long. I too take responsibility for allowing the errors hold my rank back. However this has never stopped me from training and providing instruction to all who wanted to train, not just here in my academy but online and through my social media as well. I am currently a 5th degree Certified International instructor with the American Taekwondo Association, and I am honored to have been the face that has helped change thousands of lives and inspired individuals through my leadership and training.

Honored to have been nominated for instructor of the year multiple times, achieved Black Belt of the year, achieved state champion status, Placed at the district championships, Top 10 world championship contender.

I have had a life filled with martial arts experience, and so many wonderful individuals that I thank for being a part of my journey, and the knowledge of over 6 different martial arts that I still practice to this very day. 

I will continue to Instruct and Inspire anyone who wants to learn martial arts, and help develop more leaders for tomorrow.

2024 Mastership 

Knowing the organizations stance on things back in 2016 and with the utmost respect, it was time to take action and accomplish the next step in my martial arts journey simultaneously. I was tested beyond basic knowledge and strength. I was physically tested daily parallel to being extremely limited from food for 10 days, creating an understanding of the hardships many Asians experienced at the hands of greed and power due to the occupation of territory and tyrannical rule. In order to become a master I needed to expand on the knowledge of the art in ways beyond memorization. I needed to express a level of understanding and excellence in my techniques, and move beyond the idea of being a master instructor who is only reliant on someone else's understandings of the art. I must become the master martial artist who embodies the art in every way possible. In the summer of 2024, I learned to value the struggle, embrace the hardships with perseverance, and expand the knowledge of the arts principles, philosophy, and its practical uses. After more than 30 years of knowledge, dedication, demonstrations, and trials, I can now embark on the path I was born to walk and embrace the title and role of Master Martial Artist. There have been many great individuals who helped make this possible and its an honor to embraced this next chapter in my life all of their support and wisdom instilled in me.
